Ok now I have the alpha5 installed and here's what I found:
When talking with the guy who sell things to me in a village, the GUI appears, and in that GUI I can't move, select or pick up anything from my bag, but selling or buying things are good. This(unable to move or select) will also happens when I interact with a locked chest
Also when I talk to this guy(pic here:

As for translation, I definitely want to join but it seems that I can't send PM in this forum. Shall I start working right now? Thanks.

Do you have any mods installed? I've heard a mod called "ItemScroll" causes issues with the Trade UI for instance.

I want to clarify: will you fix only bugs? Or here can write suggestions for new versions?
For example, I would like to see patrols in the village at night.
At night, zombies and other pests walk. But no one does anything with them.
In the villages there are guards, but they are absolutely useless, and are suitable only for hiring. Which, it seems to me, strange ...

Right now I'm focused on fixing bugs (I've added some small features here and there while doing the port, but nothing major).

Beyond that I'll probably work on some feature updates, but I really can't say how much. You can always suggest things though!

Since I dug up the floor she no longer comes into the house, but I've since watched her (possibly another villager) walk in the same path around the castle and fountain several times, 'clearning an old path'.

Anyway she's no longer creeping into the house to tap my floorboards. Very odd.

No, I bought the largest plot and it was built on the outer edge of the village. Even now there's nothing that would account for it.

Norman herders bug - never finds oven.

This is actually old bug (since 1.7 and older). Villagers can find oven in their herder farms even if it's maximal level.
They can cook steaks, but never make tripes and other special mod food.

Hi, can you detail this a bit? They cook steaks in the oven but not tripes?

IIRC tripes are not cooked, they just get them "magically" when slaughtering cows if the cattle farm is advanced enough. But maybe it's broken.

In previous village I had two cattle farm with maximum level, but both had only one person, man in first and women in second. Man slaughter cattle but doesn't make tripes. Women do nothing.

I disabled all of my mods including Optifine(only Millénaire is in use) and the sympton(I can't move, select or pick up anything from my bag) persists. I can't even click the Inventory Tweaks mod's button in that Trade UI.

Also I'm working on the translation, and when I done my work(some parts of untranslated text, and some format tweaks regarding punctuations), I'll send these text through email. Thanks for your great mod!

Normally the man slaughters the animals and gets the meat home, and the woman "crafts" it into tripes or boudin if the farm has an oven (which is not used, it's just required), so you need both. I'm adding the possibility of selling the raw meat to both farms as a fail-safe.

For the trade UI, it's normal that you can't interact with your own slots. Not ideal I know but it was the simplest way to make sure the rest worked. You can only interact with the two rows of "trade" slots. Maybe I'll rework that when I can.

It's always missing equipment even if animal farm maximal level.

Thank you Kinniken! I'm anxiously following the recode on Discord but feared it would take quite a while until it creeps through the versions but jumping to 12.2 with "just" a port is a great idea and much appreciated as I just started to feel my way around the mod offerings for 12.2 .
Barely any time for Minecraft right now but I'll hopefully come back here with some feedback.

- Removed the loaded chunk map as it cannot work in 1.12 with its current implementation
- Fixed bug causing a blank screen when talking to the Byzantine leader
- New internal blockstate-based system to handle blocks that need to be rotated along with the building (logs, beds, staircases...)

- Moved the millenaire.log file as well as some generated files (translation gaps etc.) from millenaire/ to millenaire-custom/
- Split the plain and cross timber frame-making goals to avoid villages producing too much of one and not enough of the other
- Fixed bug causing crashes in Japanese villages with squid farms
- Fixed bug causing a crash when approaching the anomaly one in the Norman Creation Quest
- Fixed display of Mayan Quest Crown
- Fixed the production of boudin and tripes. Bovine and porcine farms will also now buy raw meat.
- A lot more rework and code cleanup


This could almost be a beta. If there was not quite a bit of rework that I haven't tested well enough I'd probably declare it one.

only boots also tradedgoods for cider apples has no selling price in the norman culture and Japanese selling prices are backwards for some items and the kitchen in the Japanese culture is broken also the byzantine culture that doesnt start with a fishing pond wants over 200 sandstone yet when its built its not anywhere i have more please help :D

I'll try and help, but please report all those errors as precisely as possible. For instance, what Japanese items have backward prices, what Byzantine building are we soaking of, what do you mean by broken kitchen etc :) a screenshot is often a great help also.

Villagers sleeping positions seems to be a little bit off.

They are sleeping not directly in block center, which makes them sleeping in walls and other blocks.

Boots for sale are on my alpha 1 I think. Could be that the addition of the shield slot has renumbered slots?

Some items and tools should have bigger texture in hands. That looks strange when villager trying to kill a mob with item that smaller than a stick.
