Well you don't have to follow the original recipe and/or you could make sure they get many bricks for each inc sack. Having a lot of different crafters and/or separating the crafting from the mining/gathering etc is a good way to make a cultures more interesting etc. But you are doing that already :...

You could test lowering the view distans a bit if its still at 10, note min is 5 for millenaire to work.

One way is to sell them better shovels, stone shovels improve speed a lot, iron is even better etc.

Villager textures are stored inside the jar file as assets.
If you want to test with other textures or play with some of the stuff from the Library that adds textures I recommend using the mod "Resource Loader" that adds the possibility to add textures and other stuff in a normal folder structure.

I have dynamic trees installed but not as a default. I think someone said it should be ok to have it as default as long as you manually keep the forests from growing to big.
The groves uses saplings so that should work as long as they are not turned off.

And townhalls (600) as start building gets + 400? That would mean 1:st upgrade is (600 + 400)/10 = 100 meaning the townhalls will not be upgraded at until all other buildings are built?

If this is 1.12.2 then there could still be problems with the code = could spawn in wrong biome etc. The "y" is always a problem but selecting the flatter biomes should help. I think all lone buildings that are part of the quests can spawn before they are needed.
I'v seen the norman alchemist hideout once long before I even started the quest.
And the lone miner spawned yesterday long before I even had found a village that gives the corresponding quest.

There is probably a bug were the quest line is not removed. They should only show the quest for a limited time, but something is broken that should remove the text once the quest is not available any more.
This is an old issue.

1.8 is the BIG step. Getting from 1.8 to 1.10.2 is much smaller steps.
Gillian has done this trip with another mod before so I think we can trust that he knows what he is doing.
Might even be that he can have up-to-date versions for all three in the future (not sur ewhat he thinks about that though).

I know that some of the ponds (actually the fishermans pond) is deep enough for MC to randomly spawn a squid or two.
