MoonCutter's tip is the simplest, easy to do and makes a big difference. Shovels and pickaxes for construction and axes for wood cutting.

The old format is still supported, no upgrade required.

That said, if you put this option in your settings file:

generate_help_data=true

It will auto-generate updated text files in millenaire-custom, so you can migrate easily to the new format.

There was a bug where it happened even for areas set to preserve ground. If the plan explicitly place dirt then it will still be dirt.

Yes, I did not mention it in the release notes, but there was a lot of refactoring and speed improvements in 6.2 also.

The 1.8 rewrite is on a completely different technical base, there was no porting to 6.2. The "mock blocks" ideas for building import/exports originated there though.

Speaking purely from memory, that tag is not quest-related, it's just only used in quests for now. However, even if using it you spawn buildings at bedrock level, there is no provision for pathing etc underground. I'm assuming it would work for underground "lone buildings", but not villages.

And no. I had a quick look at the Indian and Norman buildings and did not really see where to put them... They are added to the block list though so they can be put in buildings.

If your building is large make sure the radius is large too. Sorry, no way to set the altitude - the anomalies have a special bedrock tag that changes the generation, but that only works for bedrock level buildings.

No idea what's up with the biomes.

Indeed, that's intended. They can either spawn on their own (fairly rarely) or after getting the quest (much higher chance).

What language are you playing at? And what culture was it in? Because I believe that bug can only trigger if there is a dialogue line of more than 60 characters with no space in it! I had never seen it.
