[new][edit][reply] Norman quests -- Jjcs 21:03, 19 December 2011 (UTC)

I have read and seen a number of post regarding quest. They state that these quests are displayed above the NPC's head in (brackets) my son has been playing for some time now on creative mode and the only quests he has seen is (thirsty) and (sick child) i believe. I imagine that there are other quests that I have seen in videos but they dont seem to be working for me can anyone help.

Any ideas about this is it that they dont appear in creative mode, is it that it has to be a newly created world or have i mucked up the install

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT

Many thanks all

Most of the quests have a chance of being active, which can range from between 10% per in-game hour up to 100% per in-game hour. Some even require a set reputation level. The creative mode shouldn't matter as far as I've experienced, at least, I've had several different quests that I got while being in Creative Mode.
A bad install might be an option, but it can be easily checked. Inside the Millénaire folder inside your Minecraft folder, you can check if the quest files are actually in place. In regard to the Norman side quests, you should look if there are multiple text-files inside the folder 'quests/normanbasic'. There should be a total of around 9 of them. If they are there, then they should work. A second check might be to go inside the language folder and of the language of your choice, find the file quests.txt. Be aware though, that it will be spoiler heavy, since it contains all the text for all the quests.
Another possibility might be that your son is checking up on the wrong NPCs. Different quests have different, specific starting NPCs. The Sick Child quest is quite common due to the starting NPC being any possible village woman, as long as she has a child. A quest like Cousin's Birthday is simply more rare to occur, since it requires a Norman merchant.
The last two possibilities though for not finding any other quests might be that your son is simply unlucky, or that there might be an actual bug.
Hopefully this info will help you a bit. If you suspect a bug at work, then you might want to report it in the Bug reports section. (A tool to help you with this, is checking the millenaire.log file, to see if it displays any errors.)

The game runs perfectly normal until in my chat bar it tells me that there is a village spotted, the game then lags until I cannot even move and then it crashes. Made at least 15 worlds to play Millenaire and it crashed every time.Sometimes the world doesn't even generate before crashing. Here is the report:

[new][edit][reply] Removed a building, killed the game. -- 69.14.185.239 05:06, 8 August 2014 (CEST) -- 69.14.185.239 05:06, 8 August 2014 (CEST)

Using minecraft 1.2.3 (Yes, I have the appropriate version of millenaire)

I was using the summoning wand to add new buildings to my village. I wanted to do a farm house, but I miss-clicked and added a fishing hut. I went to town hall to remove the building, but... Within those twenty seconds it took me to get there, a guy had started working on it without my knowledge.

I removed the building from the town while he was working on it. I got FLOODED with error messages. He finished building it, then I got even MORE error messages. The fishery appears on the map, but not the building list, and my villagers refuse to build anything new. Also I get error-spammed every time I go close to town hall.

Here are the two types of messages I got spammed with. (the ones from the log)

I got spammed dozens of times with identical copies of these messages.
