Historical village mod · Minecraft

Millénaire

Villages that are born, trade and grow — while you play. Seven cultures of the year 1000, peopled with villagers who have a name, a trade and a day to live.

Millénaire is a mod for Minecraft. It aims to fill the "emptiness" of Minecraft worlds by adding NPC villages to it, with loose 11th-century Norman, Indian, Japanese, Mayan, Byzantine, Inuit and Seljuk Turk themes and additional cultures planned.

Villages are populated with men, women and children of various kinds, who perform tasks such as trading with the player, expanding current buildings or improving existing ones, cultivating crops such as wheat in Norman villages and rice in Indian ones, crafting tools and powerful amulets, etc. As the village expands, the number of villagers increases as couples have children who grow up into new adults.

Help villages grow by trading with them and be rewarded with unique items such as Norman and Indian food, or statues and tapestries to decorate your house with. And if they start liking you enough, they might even build you a house of your own.

Millénaire is available in the following languages: French, English, German, Russian, Polish, Spanish, Czech, Swedish, Dutch, Portuguese, Slovenian, Chinese and Arabic (more coming!).

Millénaire 9.0 for Minecraft 1.21.1 — Public Beta 1

The first public beta of Millénaire 9.0 for Minecraft 1.21.1 and NeoForge is now open to everyone. Install it, explore, and help us track down the last bugs before the final release.

  • Heads up! This is a test version: prefer a fresh world, or back up your usual world before trying it.
  • This is a complete rewrite, not an update: almost all of 8.1's features are here, but rewritten and sometimes rethought. This overhaul should deliver better performance and greater stability.
  • Two major features are still missing: the creation quest and custom buildings. They will return in future versions. On the other hand, small improvements and new features have been added here and there — it's up to you to find them!
  • Your feedback is invaluable: report any issue you run into (crashes, village generation, villager behaviour) so it can be fixed before the stable version.
  • Thank you to everyone who took part in testing the development versions!
